It’s unheard of. The norm has always been one to one.

 But Kris looks nothing short of a thousand percent sure.

 “Yes, Kane. Both.” He declares. There’s no other way to do it. 

They both should have long realized that it was either two or none. 

Now that they only have such little time left, Kris needs to come up with a plan to counter their upcoming loss.

“Think about it. Seri is so smart and so strong for just either of us. I think... I think it’s best if we do it together. We have a better shot of catching her if we both do this. Two heads are always better than one, right?”
