“Lola, watch out”, Adrian shouted.

I turned and caught a bleeding Fay in my lap. She was struggling to breath and held her shaky fingers to my face. “Yo….you m….made it out alive and w…welll. We're fi….fi…nally go…go…ing t…t…to win this war. I…I'm…..I'm s…s…so ha…hap….py”. She said while tears streamed down her face and I shook my head.

“Why did you do that, Fay?” I said with a shaky voice. We could have won without you losing your life. That was supposed to be my sacrifice, I thought to myself while sobbing.

I looked up when I heard a gasp and Damon stood there with a livid look in his eyes, but there was also fear and panic in them.

He dropped the knife in his hands noisily on the floor and started raking his hands through his hair. “Stupid bitch, I shouldn't have brought her. I should have left her back as planned. Fuck!!” He kept cursing and pacing while everyone looked at him like he had lost his mind.

He suddenly
