"He definitely feels the mate bond and wants to be with you, too," she laughed as we neared the car that I had just noticed was parked in front of the house.

"Huh?" I asked. I wasn't really paying attention to what she was saying. My attention was on the handsome man I left behind. What was that expression on his face? It couldn't have been jealousy, I must have seen wrong.

"I said Adrian likes you too and feels the mate bond. You should have seen his face when I mentioned Greg," she said as she doubled over with laughter, letting go of my hand in the process.

"You think so?" I asked her, my heart skipping a beat in anticipation.

"I think? I know that he feels the mate bond, too, Lola. You should have seen his face when I mentioned Greg. I believe he wants to be with you, too, but he's feeling reluctant about it."
