Chapter 81

Adrian's POV

Three days! It's been three days since that incident happened and she had been numb. She barely ate, she barely slept, she barely spoke to anyone which frightened me, to be very honest.

It was my fault for allowing her to get closer to the rogue. If I had stood my ground and told her that she couldn't follow me into the dungeon, she wouldn't have witnessed what she did.

I had forgotten what happened when Ennia wanted to confess eight years ago. It wasn't that gory so imagine my shock when I saw human remains splattered all over my beloved mate.

I should have refused to allow her into the dungeon with me. She seemed to be a shadow of herself. Even when Lyla and the check girls came to check up on her, she was still the same and I did not know what else to do about the situation.

Mom was always checking up on her whenever I had to go do something important
