Chapter 30

My heart raced as the door slammed shut behind me, leaving me trapped in a room filled with menacing figures. Fear gripped me, tightening its hold on my chest, and my mind raced with a thousand possibilities of what could unfold in this nightmarish scenario.

The dimly lit room revealed faces twisted with malice, their eyes glinting with wicked intent. I felt a shiver run down my spine as their menacing presence closed in around me, suffocating any glimmer of hope that had remained.

I instinctively took a step back, my breath catching in my throat. Who were these people, and what did they want from me? Panic swelled within me, threatening to consume my every thought and render me helpless.

Every instinct screamed at me to run, to find an escape from this terrifying situation. But my body felt rooted to the spot, paralyzed by the sheer terror of the unknown. I tried to steady my trembling hands, desperately searching for any semblance of strength within myself.
