Chapter 4

“Ascian? You’re going somewhere?” Mirela rubbed her eyes and sat up on the bed, wrapping the bed sheet around her, She looked at the man who had already gotten up and wore his clothes smartly.

The sourness of her body was something that she couldn’t ignore, it was her first time and she was so proud because she gave her first time to her mate, and the man she fell in love with. She tried to get up from the bed wanting to fix the collar of his shirt but she couldn’t do it because her legs were still numb.

“Sleep” He said coldly.

“It’s too early, if it’s not important just go after a few hours. See it’s three in the morning” She spoke with worry. She didn’t want him to have any uncomfortable feelings.

“Shut your fucking mouth Mirela. I’m done with your innocence. Fucking annoying” he roared.

Mirela gasped, she clutched the bed sheet tightly and looked at him. His back was facing her and she could tell that he’s angry. Did she do something wrong? She asked herself but the answer was no because she hasn’t done anything wrong to him.

Her heart was already hurt from his venomous words.

“Ascian? Why? What’s wrong?” Hardly she placed her legs on the cold floor wanting to go to him. Then he turned and looked at her, a cold smirk was playing on his lips as he watched her.

“Mirela, you love me?” He suddenly asked.

“Yes,” She smiled at him and answered, her eyes were sparkling. She was pretty, pure and innocent. She’s just the opposite of him.

“But you know, I don’t love you. You’re disgusting. I only wanted to fuck you.” The smile on her face slowly disappeared, her eyes watered but again she smiled at him.

“You’re lying” She smiled at him and spoke through her broken voice.

“I, Ascian Lucas, don’t need a luna. I reject you, Mirela Elizabeth, as my mate.”

Mirela’s whole body went numb, she couldn’t believe her ears. His words ripped her to shreds, her wolf cried from pain failing to endure the pain. The suffocating feeling inside of her heart grew harder making her cannot breathe.

She curled up in pain, while trying to catch her breath. She was in daze, she was losing her mind because of the pain inside of her.

“Ahhhhh…” she screamed, as her screams echoed through the whole house. Her painful cries didn’t stop. She struggled on the bed, the bedsheet was crumpled and messy within a short while. One of the pillows was on the bed, while the other one fell onto the floor.

“Please… Make it… stop… Ascian” she barely opened her eyes and looked at him, he did nothing but watched her screaming and struggling from the pain.

“What made you think that I will need a luna? A luna is nothing but a failure to the whole pack. She’s weakening the pack. Without her the pack is strong.”

As she heard him, she stopped asking him to stop the pain. She stared at the ceiling and endured the pain as much as she could. Her wolf has already fainted from pain, and she felt her wolf’s strength is fading.

After so many minutes her pain slowly disappeared, those few minutes felt like a decade.

She was broken, hopeless and hurt.

It was all because she believed him, believed him more than her life. She willingly came with him ignoring her brother’s words.

Slowly getting up from the bed, she grabbed the nightgown she was wearing last night. She wore it and walked towards the door without even looking at the man who was in the room. She walked past him, her legs were still shaking and she was weak and pathetic.

Waiting for a while at the door, she just walked out from the room without even looking back.

Mirela’s eyes moistened as she looked at the man who was standing in front of her with a woman in his arms. The tears that her eyes held were not for him, it was all for herself, for the pain she endured three years ago.

He was living nicely, already having a woman in his arms. He was still handsome as ever, his emerald eyes looking at her with shock. Three years had passed within a blink but nothing had changed, her heart was still beating for him like the first day it happened.

Even if he fooled her and showed her a fake love, she couldn’t bring herself to hate him and move on. She was still living in the past with him.

Wearing his typically black suit he stood there like a king as he always was but no matter how much she loved and how much she wanted to be with him, she will never trust him again in her lifetime. It was already enough.

Turning around she left the dining hall, as soon as she left her body covered with cold sweat. She can’t let him see Ahren, he will definitely hurt her little son too. Running everywhere she searched for her little stubborn boy.

She sighed in relief as she saw him already sleeping on Luna Cara’s lap.

“Mirela? What happened? You’re sweating” She looked back at Hale and walked towards him.

“Hale, please take Ahren home. Please” tears rolled down from her eye with the thought of Ascian hurting his own son as the way he hurt his mate.

“What? What’s wrong? Tell me” Hale was confused because of her sudden behavior change.

“Please just take him home or just keep him with you. I… I can’t lose him” She clutched his shirt and sobbed.

“Okay… don’t cry” Hale wiped her tears and nodded. His heart was filled with love for her, he really loved her ever since he saw her for the first time but she didn’t agree with him because of her son but he knew that she had other reasons for it.

He doesn’t know who is the father of Ahren but he knew one thing and it was that man had deeply hurt her. With a deep sigh he slowly pulled her to a hug but his actions stopped by a loud and furious growl.

Mirela wiped her tears and looked at Ascian, rage compassing around him as he watched Hale with murderous eyes. One could tell that he was thirsty for blood and he wanted to kill someone. Gazing at her, he strode towards her as he grabbed her arm and pulled her to him.

“Let me go” Her voice was calm and empty.

“NO…” he snapped at her.

“Take your filthy hands away from my body Ascian. Disgusting” Looking up at him she scoffed.

She found him dirty because a few minutes ago he was touching another woman and she knew what he wanted to do. She coldly laughed as she thought about the past three years.

Hearing the way Mirela used to talk to Ascian, Hale shuddered. Ascian was the great alpha of the county and no one dared to offend him even with a little word but Mirela…

“No. I’m not taking my filthy hands away. What are you going to do about it?” He tightened the grip around her arm.

“Nothing, just let go when you get tired of it.” Taking a deep breath she stated. Just like he did three years ago, she wanted him to get tired of her and let go again.

“Alpha, can we go now? I find it uncomfortable here” A sweet voice came from nowhere, Mirela looked at the woman that Ascian was touching intimately, then she noticed both jealousy and hatred she held towards Mirela.

“Hale can you do that for me?” She looked at Hale and spoke in a low voice, he watched her with a worried look and nodded before walking away.

She finally sighed in relief, her son is safe with Hale and his family.

The grip around her hand loosened, she immediately took her hand away turning to leave.

“Mirela, you’ve changed” She stopped and looked back at the emerald eyes that she loved the most.

“Thank you for changing me” With a small smile she uttered.

Of course she’s changed, she has no wolf now, she’s a mother of a little boy, she endured the most painful things in the world and she was a woman who was used and thrown away by the man she loved. Those reasons are more than enough to change her.

As a werewolf she’s useless and powerless because of what he did to her three years ago.
