Looking at the forest in front of him, Ahren asked Ascian. Ascian didn’t reply to him, he just looked at the forest without uttering a word. His mind started to show his mother’s pictures and how she screamed. His mind was just haunted by her screams. He ignored it and looked down at his son who was already looking up at him.

“Listen to me Ahren, this is a really dangerous place. So many unknown things are here. Daddy also doesn’t know what kind of things we would have to face but we should not be afraid.”

“We should go back to momma okay? If ever anything happens to daddy, just run. Don’t wait for me, just run and survive. You have the strength to survive. You got me?” Ascian asked.

Ahren was looking at him without even saying a word. Ascian patiently waited for his answer and sighed. He knew his son was strong and would also be like him in the future. So he just wanted to make the damn curse go away.
