Chapter 2
As the days went by, soon the opening day became closer and closer, and it only took one day for such an event to happen, that Hayoon saw her own boyfriend get into a complete mess of anxiety and insecurities.
He constantly dictated that everything would be fine, but it didn't seem to be enough when his mind made him think of a thousand and one possibilities for the inauguration to fail and be a huge fiasco.
However, that date also brought something very good.
It was October thirteenth, Park's birthday.
In the morning, it was as if they switched roles. JaeHwa woke up early, and together with his mother, he prepared a carrot cake and made the semisweet chocolate coating by himself.
Euna helped him organize the table and when they finally realized that Hayoon had already woken up, JaeHwa ran to leave the two candles that indicated Park's new age.
"Happy twenty-third birthday, my angel." was the first thing Hayoon heard when she left the room with her hair already damp.
He smiled, looking at the organized table and the happy faces in front of him.
He walked, hugging his mother-in-law and felt himself being hugged by her and JaeHwa together.
"Surprise." JaeHwa whispered, making him laugh. "We made carrot cake, your favorite."
Hayoon smiled, sitting down at the table when JaeHwa pulled out her chair. She said thank you and watched her mother-in-law cut a slice of the orange cake, letting the extra frosting run down the middle.
He saw JaeHwa serve him some juice and sit next to him, all smiling.
"Am I really being pampered?" laughed, drinking the liquid.
"All for you, love." the greatest spoke.
Euna laughed, cutting more of the cake.
"Has your headache gotten better?" Hayoon remembered the elder's complaint the night before. JaeHwa nodded, eating the cake, but Park didn't really believe it. "Really?"
"I swear so.”
"And the heart, how is it?" in that part she smiled again, seeing her boyfriend touch the center of her chest.
"So far, it's pretty good."
"Are you going today, Mrs. Euna?" Hayoon wanted to know.
"Yes, I will, but I won't stay all night, I'm not so young anymore for these things."
"That has nothing to do with it, Mom. Even Grandpa will be there."
"You can have a drink with us." Hayoon spoke.
"Among so many young people? I don't want to look straight."
"The lady is not." Hayoon assured." and it's still my birthday, so we can still celebrate."
"And on Saturday, mother, there won't be anything interesting on TV anyway. Come with us, please..."
Euna smiled, but there was no way to run. She nodded at the end, tasting the cake so full of frosting.
***
Passing the subtle cherry lipstick over JaeHwa's lips, Hayoon noticed the way her boyfriend's eyes were fixed on the cell phone on his left hand, fingering each new interaction that the nightclub page gained.
The biggest had hired someone to create and advise on it, but only because Taeil insisted a lot and said it was necessary to increase the company's marketing.
JaeHwa saw how people interacted with the hashtag they had created for the club, and how they marked the place in photos of the facade or selfies in line to enter.
Hayoon approached to seal the slightly reddened mouth with a sweet scent, and smiled when her boyfriend's eyes shifted to her.
Hayoon now had gray hair. He had decided at the last minute that he wanted to change his look for his birthday and for the opening of the club and he had no doubts about the color he chose when he opened the color booklet and saw the gray right away.
There were photographers there too. Kim Taeil had received the extravagant idea from her boyfriend, Minsun, and he welcomed it as VIP guests, such as three actresses and four singers, had confirmed their presence.
Everything so that the FireClub name debuted with the spotlight on you.
It was already seven o'clock, Hayoon and JaeHwa were in the room behind the office. After a long inspection "the third just that week" they were unable to go home to get ready. They were too anxious to concentrate on the traffic. And therefore, Euna who had taken there what they would wear.
With subtle knocks on the door, Hayoon's vision went to Taeil who had just entered the place.
Kim was wearing a white shirt with black abstract designs. It was another one from her father's collection. Two buds were open. His pants were black and common, which contrasted with the genuine leather shoe and the brown color that his feet wore.
His black and wavy hair was falling over his eyes in a lot of strands, but the bandana in the same print as the shirt he was wearing, held tight so it wouldn't fall completely. Taeil wore the coat Minsun handed him and looked at the others in front of him.
"What's taking so long?"
"We're already finishing up." Hayoon replied. Aside from the gray hair, Hayoon's clothes were new and neat.
It was an expense he allowed himself to make. He wore a black dress shirt, where all the buttons were closed. The cuffs of the shirt stood out with a light ruffled tulle, which also happened subtly in the collar. Taeil looked at Park's clothes and smiled approvingly. The dress pants had been given by him as a gift. It was also from the Kim collection, and the dress shoes were just another one he didn't sell.
Rolling his eyes to take in JaeHwa's clothes, Taeil was amazed at how serious and responsible he looked just for wearing that. The shirt Jeon wore underneath was far from being social. It was ordinary, even a plain black shirt that he had found in his closet, however, the blazer that JaeHwa wore over it was unique. The dress pants completely lined his body, and his dress shoes that had been a gift from Hayoon for that day, made him quite handsome.
Her hair was pulled back in a bun, and only two small, thin strands fell across her forehead.
Hayoon took a little of the perfume that was there and rubbed it on her wrists and behind her ears.
"Ready?" looked at her nervous boyfriend.
"I think so."
Taeil smiled but moved on. Hayoon's hand grabbed JaeHwa's icy one and pulled him out of the room.
The club had already opened its doors, the security guards were in place and the waiters trained.
Hayoon walked up the steps with JaeHwa, finding Euna and Minsun there. Junsik was at the counter talking to JinKi, one of the new bartenders who had been hired, and he smiled at both of them as they took the top spot.
Taeil stopped beside YoonHa, wrapped his arms around Min's small waist and sighed when he felt another hand hold his own waist. He smiled at Minsun, seeing JaeHwa nod to MinHo who was downstairs.
Choi gave the place the pass to finally open.
The music in the room was turned up and the lights turned on. Everything turned red.
Hayoon was excited, he smiled when he saw people start to enter, admiring the club from the inside and looked at JaeHwa.
The biggest one had its little round eyes stuck in the entrance. They were bright.
Taeil moved to greet the three actresses who had made their way to the upper VIP area, and straightened up when he asked for permission to take a picture with them.
And of course JaeHwa was too. He was shy, nervous and a little scared with his own perception that a dream had come true in his life, but even so, he smiled full and beautiful for the photographers.
More photos came as Hayoon and Ranah joined in as well. If the Park name had that much power, why not use it to promote that too? The most they would hear were Nabi's complaints afterwards.
Euna, who was still sitting at a table that JaeHwa had reserved for her, looked at the happiness of those who lived with her. Sunjin was at his side, he was drinking an orange juice that Junsik had asked JinKi to prepare for him, and he also shared that very good image.
"I'm proud of him." the man spoke to the woman. Euna gave him her attention, seeing the man sigh. I've always wanted to live long enough to see him achieve this dream that he's been telling me about for many years. And now, maybe I can die in peace."
"Don't talk such nonsense!" Euna argued, leaving a pat on the old man's shoulder. "If you die, a part of each of these boys' hearts dies too. So live long, understand?"
Lee laughed, nodding.
Jaehwa's cell phone vibrated. Reaching for it, Jeon snorted.
Unknown:
|Are you happy?
His body shivered with it. His eyes roamed upstairs in a hurry. He wasn't there.
Unknown:
|You look good today, you know that?
Scanning the floor below, JaeHwa let his fear show.
"What it was?" Taeil held tight to his shoulder, causing him to startle. "What happened?" his worried eyes scanned the other's face.
JaeHwa showed him the phone, letting Kim read it.
"He is here?" JaeHwa asked shakily.
"It's not impossible." he replied firmly, touching the other's face. "he's not here. We were clear with the security, Kang doesn't come in here for nothing."
JaeHwa nodded, taking a deep breath when he just blocked that number from his cell phone.
"I don't believe he even had the audacity to come here." Hayoon appeared there, looking very angry.
"Who?" Taeil asked.
"Jiwan. He's downstairs."
JaeHwa looked down, seeing Hayoon's ex-boyfriend staring at them.
"Want me to kick him out?" Taeil asked. "The security guards can take him out right now."
Before answering, JaeHwa looked at his boyfriend.
"It would be a shame." he said, looking back at him too." we are opening, what if they make some gossip that gets bad?"
"Like what?" Taeil wanted to know.
"Jiwan is my ex, JaeHwa is the current one. You could say he got kicked out of jealousy, and JaeHwa will come off as wrong."
"I don't care about that, Hayoon." JaeHwa spoke. "if it bothers you that he's here, he'll be expelled."
"We can do like Taeil did with Kang, so he won't come in again. But for today, leave him there, let's not bring trouble to such a good day, alright?"
JaeHwa nodded, hugging him around the waist, still feeling his heart racing. Hayoon turned her back to where Jiwan was and hugged the brunette.
"Want to go get something to drink?" He asked.
JaeHwa still kept his eyes on the other, it seemed that Jiwan was teasing him, since he didn't look away and still kept a small smile on his lips.
He looked away to Hayoon who hugged his waist and nodded, kissing him right after.
Hayoon fetched two drinks with a strong alcohol content and handed one to JaeHwa.
He drank, staring at the biggest drink without even making a face. It completely turned him on.
On the upper dance floor, some danced, so Hayoon took advantage of Chris Brown's privacy and pulled JaeHwa by his shirt, facing him while already swaying to the music.
JaeHwa smiled provocatively, watching his dancer drink the drink, while sensualizing for himself in the center of that floor.
Hayoon stared into her dark eyes and turned her back. He glued his body to the older one, rolling next to him.
"You are teasing me?" JaeHwa whispered in his ear.
A chuckle was all he got in response, feeling Hayoon purposely wiggle her ass onto his cock again, pulling away only to look into his face next.
"It's not going to get hard like that, is it?" he turned around.
JaeHwa drank all the liquid at once, leaving the glass on the tray of a waiter who was passing at that moment, and he smiled crookedly when he wrapped his arms around Hayoon, and he had to concentrate not to drop his own drink.
He dragged his nose along his lover's neck, smelling the sweet scent. She moved closer to his ear, licking the lobe before whispering:
"Not now."
Hayoon laughed softly, taking advantage of the way they were glued together to moan softly, provocatively.
"Are you going to fuck me slowly today?"
JaeHwa sighed.
"I'll do whatever you want, my dear. Today is your day, including the night and what it has in store for us…"
Hayoon smiled, she loved having such complicity with her boyfriend. I loved being able to be free with JaeHwa.
