Chapter 52. Freedom? (2)

Kyley's POV

Soon we passed by rusty city limit sign that read" Welcome to the City of Portico... 3.2km ahead." I couldn't help but mutter as I read the sign post to myself. Although I could barely make out the words due to the rustiness of the welcome sign, I couldn't help but grow even more antsy after having read that we were close to the city. 

The ride to the city had been so great that I never wanted it to end. However, every journey that has a start must also have an end, and I can only hope that the city would make it worthwhile.

After a several more minutes, we finally started to see several buildings upfront. And after that they were on the sides of the road that we drove along.

There were so many people going on and up about that i couldn't help but hide my gaze as I secretly observed the place. For some reason, I felt so out of place.
