As I followed Danica, I held a breath, securing my robe around my waist.
She led me past the hallway to the end of it. Nothing prepared me for the sight before me.
The room was red for apparent reasons and contained all kinds of whips and chains meant for our punishment.
I wasn’t horrified, no, the opposite – I was excited at the thought of using these.
Danica closed the door, leaving me alone in the empty room, or what I thought was empty.
My heart leaped when Ronan walked out from what looked like a chamber.
He paid me no attention as he unbuttoned his shirt.
“Why did you lie?” he asked without looking up.
“Excuse me?”
“You didn’t have a headache,” he said.
I rolled my eyes, “If you knew, then why did you let me go?” I asked.
He chuckled a bit, making me realize I just gave him an attitude.
I bowed my head immediately, “I am so sorry, master.” I apologized quickly.
