Chapter 36
Sophie
I blinked once, twice. I see the sun stretching its pinky fingers across the room.
I slept late, and I woke up really late. Thankfully, yesterday was my turn to serve, and I was free today.
The memory of yesterday’s event hit me, and I realized how weak I’d become as I had slept for a long time, and here I was, waking up late.
“Mail!” I exclaimed as I hurried out of the room toward the door and down the stairs.
I hurried toward the post with doubting hearts, and boom!!! There was a letter for me with my name in red.
I picked it out and hurried back into the room, hoping it was not what I was thinking. Deep down in me, I prayed silently that it shouldn’t be Antonio but who else would send me a mail?
With shaky hands, I opened the letter and read through the contents.

Dearie, I know you must have missed our regular chats and my letters; you probably hope I died, but I’m sorry to disappoint you. I’ve been watching you
