He hasn’t spoken to her since he yelled at her in front of everyone, and it’s not in his nature to apologize for anything anyway, so he just avoids her for the past few days.
Now, however, the need to lay eyes on her had become so strong that he would be fine if he used an even more lame excuse than Carlos’ injury to meet and talk to her.
Entering the room, he saw that she had just come in from the back room, holding some blood samples.
She just looked at him for a moment, then turned to face the counter, put down her things, and wrote down notes.
He cleared his throat a few times, but she didn’t acknowledge him so in the end, Michel had no choice but to start talking.
“So how’s Carlos?” He finally said, burying his hands in his pockets as he shifted back and forth on his feet, trying to appear normal.
