Chapter 79

Jade POV

“Saint, it's me,” I said quietly, knocking on his door. 

He didn't open up the first time which made me repeat myself. I waited for some time with crossed fingers before his door finally opened and I met his eyes, for the first time since the previous night.

I saw he was in a new shirt which had some blood stains on it and his lips were downturned in a frown. He didn't look stressed but he didn't look good at all. It didn't even look like he was happy to see me. 

“You shouldn't be up and walking around right now.” He said to me in a flat tone before I could even speak, giving me a stare down. 

I swallowed hard before responding, biting down on my lips, “I...I wanted to make food.” 

He ran a hand over his face, “I'll get one of the guys to do it. You'll tell him what you want and he'll get it done. Just go back to your room for now.” It was more like an order than him saying it out of wor
