Chapter 221. Ready to Take It

Shehryaar maintained his composure, but he just wanted to cut his tongue into a million pieces and have those eyes of his gouged out by his bare hands. He was trying his level best to keep control of himself.

"Judging by your silence, I think you are aware that she had an extramarital affair," he told him, and confusion danced in his eyes.

How could he know that?

It was a family secret.

Nobody apart from the family was supposed to know that.

That incident had died with Omer and Jaha Ara. Their grandfather had slit the tongues of all the servants who were involved and witnessed the incident so they wouldn't be able to recite the tale of what had happened within the four walls.

His grandfather and the elders of the family at that time had made every effort to keep this secret within the family. Because if the secret had gotten out of the four walls, the family's respect would have been tarnished.
