Three Years Later

Life was nothing but pitch darkness for him. A darkness that had the capacity to suffocate you to death. And the people around you wouldn't even realize the extent to which that darkness had consumed you, especially when you are inexpressive. You are monotonous. And when you lack the ability to utter what bothered you.

Like an endless loop, his past life would play in front of his eyes. Each moment. Every memory. Those moments, like a snake, would coil around his ankles, inhibiting him from moving ahead.

He remained stuck on day one of 'grey against grey.'
