Chapter 251. Defeated
When Sherhzaad opened her eyes, it was already dusk. She gazed at her chest and found Chahat's sleepy head dozed off there with her thumb between her lips, snoring softly. Must have been Shehryar's deed.
Gently adjusting her on the bed, Shehzaad exited the room. Her brows furrowed on finding the house empty. But the minute she stepped out the main door, she halted on finding Shehryar on one of the stairs, holding his head between his hands. At the commotion, he gazed up, meeting her eyes. She was caught off guard by the redness of his eyes. Seemed like he had cried. But why would he cry?
"Have you made your mind?" He questioned in a straight, dry tone. His emotionless eyes caught her ability to respond.
Her lack of response made him nod his head. "I am leaving." He told her in a curt tone. His words made her eyes widen.
