Chapter 40. Or What?
She flinched, instinctively shrinking back from him. He looked terrifying. His piercing gaze seemed to be able to penetrate through her skin. He was able to hold some kind of a chilling darkness, that seemed to engulf any hopeful feeling she could have. It felt as if the walls around her were closing in and she could not run away no matter how much she tried.
Every escape had been locked.
“You were on my mind,” he began, his voice a cold whisper that sent shivers down her spine, “and I thought I could push you out. But the thing is even after that you're still on my mind. Now what I'm supposed to do? To let you go?" He let out a low, mocking chuckle "No baby. That's not even an option,"
It came as a shocker to her as she found herself in a new mess. The thought was making her breathless.
