Chapter 96. We're Running Away

“Irtaza...” she called her out, standing near the door. He still hasn’t looked up at her as he was busy with his task. As soon as her voice reached her ears, he looked up immediately.

“Zahra,” he said, with a slightly surprised expression on his face. He wasn’t expecting her. “Is there something you want to tell me?” He asked. His voice was soft with a hint of gentleness that gave Zahra the courage to speak in front of him.

He could tell by her expressions that she was keeping something within herself since noon. She was acting strange. Something was going on and she was not telling him. He just had to look on her face and he could tell that she was here to tell him something.

“I... actually.”

“Come sit, first,” Irtaza said but she remained rooted in her place. He could tell that she was scared especially when she had kept the door open on purpose as being alone with him would intimidate her.
