Chapter 118. Neither Do I

Just as precious is finished setting up the table, the door clicks open and Princess' bark announces their arrival. Rounding the corner to the corridor, Precious sees Kamil taking off his shoes, the corners of Kamil's eyes crinkling in a smile as their eyes meet that if Precious has a second heart, that too will be gone.

Barking gleefully, Princess runs to him and looks up at him expectant, tail wagging, tongue out. Her coat is soft like the clouds but Precious ignores her, chuckling when Princess shakes Kamil's hand away from her head.

“Princess. Your disloyalty breaks my heart.” Kamil mock-scolds, hands on his hips.

“You should get a better dog.”

“Hush. She is just like her owner. Hungry for your attention.”

“Unlike her, I will kiss the owner.”

Lifting up his head, Kamil's eyes brightens. “Come here.”

“No.” Precious flicks his hair, harrumphs and walks away, Kamil and Princess at his heels.
