The sharp shrill of the blaring alarm slices through the quiet of my three-bedroom house. I groan into the sheets, slap the snooze button, and burrow back under the covers.
Just one more minute. Just one more.
But before I can fully drift off again, a nauseating wave rises from my chest to my throat.
The next second, I’m out of bed—sheets tangled around my legs—racing into the bathroom.

Everything comes out.
Right into the toilet bowl.
I slump to the floor, rubbing slow circles into my chest. I hate this feeling.
