"We are here Valen, just a little more. Stay put. Hmm." Holding Valen close near his heart Ryley walked with his shaking legs further.

They were walking on the street leading them to her house. The roof was visible to them. Valen hugged him tight keeping her skull on his shoulders. She was happy. The smile of contention on her lips was worth watching. "Valen." As soon as they arrived at the fence side surrounding the front part of Ryley's house, Jason came hastening to them.

Seeing her father Ryley quickly put her down carefully, he made sure she was not hurt. "Dadda!" Valen squealed hiding her face in his shoulder and burst into tears.

They were being watched by his gang from the window of his room. Ryley saw how Hazel waved at him with a big smile and simply ignored her. Hazel felt bad. Even so she assumed that he did not notice her and sprinted down the stairs
