Chapter 41. Didn't You Bring Me Back

This is Vera Russell's happiest day in the past few days! When Kane Matthews called to tell her, she was so excited she almost screamed.

"I'll come pick you up in ten minutes." Kane Matthews finished talking and hung up the phone.

Vera Russell's mood was excellent, so she ignored his attitude.

Vera Russell brought only a bag of personal belongings and a laptop. Looking around the entire living room a bit, although she had only been here for five days, this place was already familiar. At least, when Kane Matthews wasn't at home, she was rolling around in every nook and cranny of the house.
