Chapter 49. Remembered Her

Last night went to bed early; this morning, Vera Russell woke up early in the morning, mentally refreshed.

Looking outside, it's snowing. Her feelings because of the shaking snowflakes became unusually warm.

Remembering the phone call from Kane last night, the corner of his mouth couldn't help but curl up.

"Hello? Kane?" Vera Russell was already asleep, dreamily answering the phone.

"Are you asleep? Are you OK?" Kane Matthews' voice was tired, but Vera Russell wasn't fully awake yet.

"YES." She replied dreamily.

"Have you eaten yet?" Kane Matthews asked.

"Not hungry…" Vera Russell slowly fell asleep, her head tilted heavily to one side.

"It's so late, and you haven't eaten yet? Or call someone to give you rice?" Kane Matthews asked.

Vera Russell is asleep over here.

"Vera?" Kane Matthews nervously exclaimed: "Vera?"
