Chapter 31. Don't Provoke Me, Danas

Melvin's torment only stopped when he was satisfied seeing Danas stay downcast with tears in his eyes. He pushed Danas' body roughly onto the bed. "Go to sleep. You need to rest so that you have the strength to fight me again."

Danas couldn't understand that man. One moment torturing her like a grim reaper, the next it was as if he was deliberately stalling her life so he could play with her longer. What kind of psychopath is he?

Without caring about Danas who was still crying numbly on the bed, Melvin left Danas without saying a word. She closed the door roughly. Danas could hear Melvin's footsteps leaving her room.

Without wanting to think anymore, Danas closed her eyes. She wanted to sleep, to forget all the sadness and suffering she had experienced. But, of course, it wasn't a deep sleep that came to Danas.
