Chapter 35

"Rehan Malhotra didn't expect you here." We both turned in the direction of voice and I found a man in his late 50's with an elegant women. They both seemed like a happy married couple. I passed a small smile to them and that's when Rehan wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Mayra let's go." Rehan ignored them and directed me with his tone completely changed to dark and his mood being completely opposite to earlier.

I frowned a little but still forced a smile and averted my eyes at the couples who were both looking at me with strange expressions. Not even once their eyes flickered towards Rehan but me. Confusion clouded inside me and I shifted a little closer to Rehan.

Why they are looking at me like this?

“Mayra." That woman said my name and stepped forward, embracing me in her arms. Rehan quickly removed his hold from me and something warm felt inside my heart, being in her affectionate arms and I couldn't stop myself from putting my arms around her.
