Chapter 17. Keep On Dreaming, Chris

Adele’s POV

"What did you talk about with your uncle this morning?", I asked as I stared intently at Chris.

He furrowed his brows at me like he was confused by my question, so I rephrased it.

"I saw you two on the balcony this morning and I did not want to disturb your talk. What were you talking about?"

"I am only curious, come on", I laughed as I hit his arm playfully.

I need to know more about the Bianca his Uncle mentioned. I am only curious, that's all.

"Why are suddenly acting like this? It's strange", Chris replied with a chuckle and I frowned.

This isn't going to work. I turned my head back to look outside the window like I had done when this ride started.

"Adele", Chris called out to me but I just kept on looking outside. He is obviously hiding something from me.

"All right. I will tell you then, it's not like I have a choice", he said with a sigh and my head quickly snapped back to him.
