Chapter 77. Sisters Bond

Adele's POV

Chris and I sipped on our tea as we chatted with Veronica and her husband. It was a very good chat when I got reminded of something.

"What of your baby?" The question slipped freely out of my mouth. 

"She is inside, sleeping," Veronica replied with a smile on her face and I nodded. 

"Do you want to take a look at her?" She added and my face lit up immediately. 

"Of course! Yes!" I replied immediately and she smiled. 

"Come on then," Veronica said, beckoning her hand at me as she stood up from her seat. 

I turned to look at Chris to tell him I was leaving. He nodded at me immediately my eyes fell on him and I smiled before shooting up from my seat. 

Veronica led the way and I followed closely behind her. We walked into the small hallway Mateo had walked out from and it was dark. 

Veronica opened a door, filling the hallway with light and I looked around the plain walls of the hall.&nb
