Kitty’s POV
I smiled to myself when he hung up. I knew why he was calling, but I had to dial it down so I wouldn't sound smug; I knew after talking to the detective, he would finally see Trish for who she was and would love to join me and send her to jail, I was pretty sure of how today's events will go as soon as he called me asking for the detective's number.
He really was dumb. Did he really think I got the reputation of the best damn lawyer in the city by being soft? No, I earned that reputation, and I was mad he doubted me, but in the end, everything worked out the way I planned it. Although he ruined my good day, I was still determined to have fun; with my classical music playing, I started baking because it was one of the things that relaxed me.
I wondered if Jason would let the officer work on James's case too; that would be getting rid of two birds with one stone; those two idiots didn't know that as long as they are associated tog
