Chapter 32. The Warning

I start getting dizzy and can barely hear anything over the sound the pounding in my head is making. I hold on to the couch in an attempt to stabilise myself and not fall off it. 

“I think you need time to digest. I will leave now." She attempts to leave but I stop her by holding her hand. 

“How did my father die?" 

“You don't have a father Luke boy, you are a fucking bastard." She says wryly.

It takes all the fucking self control in my body for me not to rush over to her and strangle her until she gives me all the information I want.

“What happened to my father? I ask no longer with sadness but aggression. 

“Your father...Mr Knight's only crime was falling in love with your mother. He was so in love with her that he couldn't concentrate on anything. After your mother was raped, he stopped going to the office, stopped participating in anything that doesn't involve your mother. He became extra pro
