”Mr. Cox might not have seen it. Samuel had already passed out by then, and I was about to contact the cops.” Mona glared back.

The scenario had been very confusing, but she felt sure she would have known what to do.

Leo unlocked the car door and said, “Get in.” He didn’t want to fight in the street.

He said nonchalantly when he saw that she was still unsure, “Not coming? Don’t you want the things that belong to the Hunt family?”

Since Mona had lived with the Hunt for so long, she knew that she should never give up what was rightly hers because of a moment of anger. She took a big breath and opened the car door right away.

”Where is your apartment? I’ll drive you home.” Leo said, looking at her.
