Chapter 66. Helen Knew Everything

Megan’s POV

I wanted to know about that guy who was talking to my mom. And it seemed like that guy knew a lot about me. I didn’t want to delay any longer.

I pushed the doorknob down and pushed the door inward. And surprise! It turned out that the guy standing in front of my mom was Freddy. They were hugging. Incredible.

“Mom, what are you doing? What the hell?” I asked in a high-pitched voice. I must admit I was angry and couldn’t hold my temper anymore. I threw my handbag on the sofa and stood up with my arms folded across my chest as I stared at the two of them.

Freddy and Mom’s eyes widened, and they misbehaved. Freddy hurriedly let go of his hug to Mom and Mom walked away and sat in her chair.

Mom immediately pretended to open one document on the table. Without looking at me, she asked. “What brings you here? It’s late at night. Did you come here to pick me up?”

I laughed widely and found their behavior and words funny. I turned around
