Chapter 19. Missing: pt. 2

I turned away and quickly pulled Mikan into the supermarket. I’ll go crazy if I have to talk to that guy.

But I stopped walking when Mikan suddenly stopped. Annoyed, I looked back at her.

“What now?”

“Why does it seem like you’re getting close to them?” she asked, puzzled.

I rolled my eyes impatiently. “Can I just explain about it later? We have a lot of time to talk about it.”

I didn’t wait for her response and went inside first. I knew this day would come when this girl would start asking questions.

I occupied myself by looking around and buying various things. Mikan, on the other hand, wouldn’t stop pestering and talking to me while also shopping.

I hurried through the shopping, thinking they might be getting impatient outside.
