Chapter 162

Third-Person POV 

“Orion is dead?” Sophia’s voice trembled, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Ciara’s gaze turned icy, her tears barely held at bay. “Isn’t this what you wanted?” she hissed, then suddenly lunged forward and yanked a fistful of Sophia’s hair.

Sophia’s scream echoed through the room. Bryan winced at the sound but didn’t stop Ciara. 

Deep down, he knew she needed this release.

Was it healthy? No, not by a long shot but the circumstances weren't favourable. 

Lucas flinched, unsettled by the sudden violence while Ryan and James stood frozen, stunned by the woman before them. 

They had only ever known Ciara as cool, calm, collected, composed and soft-spoken. 

They had never seen her like this. Now, she was all rage and pain. 

And though it startled them, they couldn’t blame her. Grief had torn through her, and in its wake, it left a fury they couldn't look away from.
