Chapter 79

Ciara's POV 

“Thank you for coming today.” I said, looking down at my hands. I couldn't meet his eyes especially after that kiss we shared which I initiated. 

It was obvious Bryan had feelings for me or else he wouldn't have kissed me back. He looked completely broken when I pulled back and apologized for the kiss and I felt rotten inside. I had to take the cowardly approach and blame my pregnancy hormones but even that excuse sounded lame. 

“I'll always be here for you when you need me to be.” he said, his expression serious and I nodded. 

“I know.” And maybe that was the problem. Maybe I was taking advantage of the fact that he'd always be here for me. 

He was suddenly in front of me and I inhaled sharply. “Don't feel bad for the kiss Ciara. It's okay to be conflicted about your feelings but don't hold them back. Express them and don't be scared of falling because I'll catch you when you're ready.”
