I returned to the ruins alongside Arsenio because he didn’t let me go alone. My eyes were red and puffy, and if we reached the place where we left him, I knew I would break down again.

“Stay close.” Arsenio took my hand and pulled me closer to him. I nodded and walked beside him.

We couldn’t find the place where we had left him since everything had been ruined. It was difficult to locate the exact spot.
