Chapter 100. Rising from the Ashes

Lillian’s POV

I returned to the ruins alongside Arsenio because he didn’t let me go alone. My eyes were red and puffy, and if we reached the place where we left him, I knew I would break down again.

“Stay close.” Arsenio took my hand and pulled me closer to him. I nodded and walked beside him.

We couldn’t find the place where we had left him since everything had been ruined. It was difficult to locate the exact spot.

“It has to be around here somewhere.”

“Should we search separately? I will shout your name or use the mind link when I find him,” I suggested.

“I want us to stick together, Lillian. I don’t want us to move separately. I would end up worrying about you, and I don’t like the feeling of being alone.” He exhaled. “Aldrich has always been with
