I sensed that Lillian was in pain through the bond, and groaned. My hand tightened on the desk in front of me, and I shoved the files aside, I glanced up at Aldrich.

If he felt the same way I was feeling.

"Lillian is in pain. I could feel it through the bond." Aldrich said, and he had stopped working and dropped the pen he was holding in his hands.

"I felt it too. I think something is wrong." I grunted and pushed my chair backward and ran a finger through my hair.

"What could have happened?" I spun around and faced Aldrich, he was standing on his feet and was taking his suit jacket from the rack. He put them on.
