Chapter 46. Race Against Time

Arsenio’s POV

I sensed that Lillian was in pain through the bond and groaned. My hand tightened on the desk in front of me, and I shoved the files aside. I glanced up at Aldrich.

If he felt the same way I was feeling.

“Lillian is in pain. I can feel it through the bond,” Aldrich said, and he had stopped working and dropped the pen he was holding in his hands.

“I feel it too. I think something is wrong,” I grunted and pushed my chair backward and ran a finger through my hair.

“What could have happened?” I spun around and faced Aldrich. He was standing and taking his suit jacket from the rack. He put it on.

“We need to get to the base to find out.” He hurried for the door. I grabbed the car keys, followed him out of the office, and slammed the door shut
