Chapter 151. A Night Alone

Freya’s POV

Some time had passed since the event of finding Hazel dead in her cottage. Nothing had seemed to come of her death, despite the evidence of her being murdered, from both Rufus and myself, and the writing left on the ground.

‘I don’t understand,’ Elara said ‘I can hear you thoughts, sorry for intruding but you’re right.’

‘It’s odd isn’t it,’ I said, tracing my fingertip across the rim of my wine glass ‘I can’t fathom why the Police decided to drop the case with Hazel, there was a clear lead and…’ I paused my words as Rufus said down on the table opposite me ‘Never mind, more important things to focus on,’ I said, feeling Elara disappear back into the darkness of my mind once more.
