Chapter 154. Jared
Sienna’s POV
Stumbling into the cottage, I clumsily felt around for the lights in the dark. My finger, recognizing the shape of the switch, turned it on and the light illuminated the home.
Even though this cottage wasn’t my home, I felt comfortable here. As though it’s where I was meant to be, and I knew I felt right being here. It was a cozy sensation that warmed me each time I stepped into this cottage, and memories flooded to my mind. Memories that weren’t mine, they were Hazel’s.
“Is this your place?” Chad asked as I led him into the front door. He stumbled on his feet and I watched his drunken eyes make an attempt to focus on the room surrounding us. “Not bad, not somewhere I would picture someone like you being though.”
“I guess it is my place now,” I said with a laugh. “Make yourself comfortable won’t you.”
I led Chad over to the sofa, and pushed him ever so slightly, just enough the momentum caused him to fall into a seated position.
