The rich aroma of herbs and spices wafted through our modest living room as I tucked a loose strand of my wild red curls behind my ear, pretending not to notice how Alpha Sherman’s intense blue gaze followed my every move.
“Just a lucky guess,” I said casually, referring to how I knew he’d like Noah’s special herbal tea.
