Chapter 10. Unreasonable Adam

Elena's POV.

I quickly turned around, heading back inside, eager to escape Adam's wrath. I'd rather endure a dull, uneventful evening than confront his explosive anger. But before I could take a few steps, Adam grasped my hand, his grip unyielding.

"Let go of me, Adam!" I cried out, trying to wriggle free, but he only tightened his hold. He began to drag me, his strength overpowering mine. I struggled and kicked, desperate to break loose, but Adam's grasp remained firm.

"Adam, let go of me!" I pleaded, my voice trembling, but he remained unresponsive, his silence more unsettling than his anger.

I was pinned against the wall in the nearest alley, Adam's hands gripping the wall on either side of me, his breath hot on my face.

"Adam, let me go!" I demanded, but he didn't budge. His face was red with rage, his eyes blazing with anger. Desperate to escape, an idea flashed into my mind, and I swiftly
