Chapter 93. Shopping Trip

Elena's POV.

I hugged everyone, beaming with joy. "Thank you, guys!" I exclaimed, as they smiled and congratulated me further.

"Can you add us on your social media account?" one of them asked, and I nodded cheerfully.

"Sure thing!"

But my happiness was short-lived, as I felt a piercing gaze fixed on me. I turned to see Anna, her eyes blazing with anger, her stare burning into my skin. I chuckled, unfazed, and flipped my hair, turning back to my new friends.

"Everyone, sit down!" our teacher boomed, his deep voice commanding attention. We scrambled to our seats, and he cleared his throat.

"Congratulations to Elena for emerging the best student for the term!" he announced, and the class erupted into applause - everyone except Anna, that is.

Mercy hugged me, "Congratulations!" she exclaimed, and I giggled, feeling a surge of happiness.
