A little while later, Sebastian shows up carrying bags full of food.

He says he wants to surprise the kids with a lot of meat once more because he has noticed that they have a good appetite. I had previously told him over the phone what had transpired with Derrick and the nanny. 

I get the impression that he's a little perplexed by the circumstances and is eager for clarification. I have to use caution though, as it is not my business to acquaint him with my kind.
