There Tristan was, yet again, in Rosalie's presence. Everybody was staring at them. Everyone in the room was aware that he was mated to her sister, Kristine. The rumors had subsided following their outburst during her father's birthday celebration. But when he charged at her and opened his arms, it was only logical to wonder if they were apathetic about one another. 

There, she noticed the Alphas frowning and glancing from her to Tristan. Goddess, when would this man ever make use of his senses again? 

She called his name, "Stan," indifferently.

His expression of dismay was rather telling. After that, it was entirely up to her to turn things around and persuade everyone in the vicinity that he was merely her brother-in-law. She then tucked herself even more into Gabriel's shielding embrace.
