Eliza's pov
“Then it’s settled!” Ed declared, pumping his fist in the air as if he had just made the grandest decision known to man. “Tonight, after the sun sets, we’ll head out to the clearing by the river. Just us, the moonlight, and whatever wild adventures await.”
The others nodded in agreement, their excitement palpable as they exchanged encouraging glances. I watched as they shifted in eager anticipation, the promise of a shared adventure igniting a spark of hope deep within me.
“Hey, wait!” I called, stopping them in their tracks. They paused, turning back to me with questioning looks, their lively banter momentarily stilled. “I need to feel confident in my wolf form again. I feel… disconnected from her. You don’t feel like that with your wolves.” I wiped a stray strand of hair from my face, frustration mingling with the remnants of fear and uncertainty that still clung to my heart.
