“You appear really happy as of late,” Lalita commended Miranda as they both sat in her room sorting out Miranda’s dresses.

Miranda sighed, trying to hide the smile creeping up her face; the moments she spent with Douglas seemed like the best moments of her life. Even though it hurt to admit that Seth had never been so loving towards her as Douglas was.

It’s been a month since they both have become quite close. However, it appears peace of mind would be a bit far from her. Miranda’s new relationship with Douglas has resulted in hatred from the other concubines, and most especially, Luna Annalisa. But aside from that, she has been happy.

“It’s about time I try to find happiness here,” Miranda said.

Lalita sighed. “You haven’t sent any letter across to Mark lately. Don’t you think he would be a bit worried?”

Shaking her head, Miranda sat on the edge of the bed, trying to find an appropriate way to explain her decision to Lalita. For two weeks, she has been
