Chapter 140

Letting out a long sigh, Mona stared up at the ceiling. She has been angry and frustrated for the umpteenth time since she woke up quite earlier than expected. Every day was becoming more depressive for her. She has no one to talk to, and she hasn’t sorted out the argument between herself and Dylan. From what she noticed, Dylan seemed to be avoiding her.

As for Sansan, Mona didn’t want to bother her with constant complaints from her. Regarding her life, her friend needs to focus more on caring for herself and birthing a healthy child. At the same time, Mona misses Sansan so much she can’t help not to feel her presence.

A knock jolted her out of her thoughts, her ears perked, and she became anxious to know who it might be. Arranging her dress properly, she almost ran to the door. Mona’s smile deflated when it was just Foden. Her heart began to run again when thoughts of Dylan being hurt again came to mind.

“Is everything okay, Beta?” she inquired in a shaky voice.
