Chapter 159

Mona chuckled at a joke being told by Foden. They were all seated in the living room attached to Dylan’s chambers. It was a cold night, and they each had spread out a mat by the fireplace with several fruits and food laid out for them.

Sansan mumbled some incoherent words that only her husband understood. Foden sighed in exhaustion, rubbing at her feet as they leaned their backs against the chairs.

“Inviting Sansan over to a moment like this when I should be alone isn’t fair,” Foden whined, causing Sansan to slap playfully at his chest. Since they sat down, she hadn’t given him breathing space and had made him continuously massage her back and feet.

Dylan laughed. “Do you want her to have my head on a platter? It’s good to have you here, Sansan,” he grinned.

Foden threw him a glare. “I thought you would be eager to support me?”

Sansan snorted. “That is because he is a good and thoughtful person.”

“I would love to think that you mean the opposite,”
