"I believed," I confess with a murmur, feeling a wave of chaotic emotions surge through my heart, like an uncontrollable tide. "I just… I didn't think that" I shake my head, trying to push away my own depreciative thoughts. I feel the weight of the words that almost escape my lips; it's nearly unbearable and leaves a bitter taste. Memories and hopes that were long buried.

"Whenever you need, I'll catch you, Anastasia," Ryan responds with a husky voice, his face close to mine, and I can feel his warm breath against my skin.
