Chapter 15. Capture the Animal

Anastasia POV

"I think you're going to win this round, Amélia. I don't think the other participants managed to catch a sheep like you," the red-haired, green-eyed participant declares excitedly.

Amélia tilts her nose up at the compliment and nods, "I don't care what the other participants bring. I just need to be better than that poor commoner Anastasia. Her place is not with us. We are royalty, our family has a name and prestige. She will never have what it takes to become a Luna," Amélia declares with hatred, making my heart pound hard within me.

Her words are harsh and sharp, hitting me like cold, poisoned blades.

"I can't believe you chased her during the trial!" the red-haired participant comments, her voice filled with shock, but also admiration.

Amélia shrugs and stops a few meters away; she removes the sheep from her shoulders and lets out a painful groan. Amélia massages her shoulders and huffs.
