Chapter 17

"Excuse me" I replied to him as I adjusted my clothes back on and left the room. I didn't want to go back to my room because I still feared Alaric might be there.

I could hear Asher calling me back but I needed some space away from him to clear my mind from what he had just said, not like I wasn't hurt but I couldn't possibly let him know how bad his words got to me.

I reached Ariel's room and knocked really loudly on it, hoping she would be available and free for me and my prayers were actually answered when she opened the door to meet me and the smile on her face slowly turned to concern.

"You still don't look good, are you sure nothing's wrong?" She asked and I shook my head at her before walking past her into her room, her roommate wasn't around and I was kind of glad.
